About this Nominee
Mt. Diablo Village is a Walnut Creek based nonprofit with a mission to help seniors age in place for as long as possible. We provide programs and events for seniors to find fun, joy, meaning and purpose while they continue to learn new things and make new friends. We believe Aging is Better Together.
Mt. Diablo Village was officially launched in February 2026. We have a variety of programs and events and our events calendar is filling up fast. Our event categories include social, educational, exercises (qigong and chair yoga. Line dancing will be added soon). We partner with the Dowtown Business Association for our Downtown Walks. We have a book club, a hikers club, and a foodies club. We also have outtings from time to time. There is not a dull moment at Mt. Diablo Village.
Currently our regular events include: Muffin Mondays, Friday Campus (Qigong [pronounced Chi Gong], Chair Yoga, Lunch and Learn and Mahjong), Downtown Walnut Creek Walks, Smell the Roses Walks, etc. We are also adding line dance classes to the mix.
